Redeem a Vehicle

During what hours can a vehicle be redeemed?: In most cases our VSF (vehicle storage facility) is open 24/7. During major holidays and inclement weather, please call prior to coming to pick up a vehicle.
What documentation is needed to prove ownership when redeeming a towed vehicle?: Section 85.710 of 16 Texas Administrative Code requires that we comply with the following requirements when releasing vehicles. Upon payment of all fees due, presentation of valid identification (Texas drivers license or other state or federally issued photo identification), and upon presentation of: (A) a notarized power-of-attorney; (B) a court order; (C) a certificate of title; (D) a tax collector's receipt and a vehicle registration renewal card accompanied by a conforming identification; (E) executed proof of loss claim form from an insurance company to show a right to possession; (F) name and address information corresponding to that contained in the files of the Texas Department of Transportation’s Vehicle Titles and Registration Division; or (G) a department approved Affidavit of Right of Possession ***, which is to be furnished by the VSF (vehicle storage facility) upon request (an Affidavit of Right of Possession is not to be used as a repossession instrument). (H) valid evidence of financial responsibility (insurance card)
What is the cost of redeeming a towed vehicle?: Our fees are set based on State law and are not negotiable. Please call our office to confirm the total due on your vehicle. Fees increase at midnight, therefore we do not quote fees past the current day.
What methods of payment are accepted at Alamo City Recovery?: We accept Cash, Visa and MasterCard. We DO NOT accept checks, cashier’s checks, or money orders.
Where are towed vehicles stored?: We are 1.2 miles outside of Loop 410 south on Rigsby/87, across from the Dollar General Store.
